David Michael DeBellis, MD
Dr. DeBellis was born and raised in Huntington, Long Island, New York, but spent nearly every summer and holiday at Bushnellsville, NY (near Shandaken).
Following a degree in Natural Sciences at The Johns Hopkins University, in Baltimore, Dr. DeBellis attended medical school, Internship, and Residency at The New York Medical College/ Westchester County Medical Center. He subsequently completed a one year Fellowship in Cardiology at the Saint Luke’s-Roosevelt Medical Center in NYC.
While in training, Dr. DeBellis met his future wife, whose shared roots in the Hudson Valley lead to their settling here in 1991.
Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. DeBellis practiced at HealthShield/CHP/KHP until its closure, and is now Assistant Managing Partner at New Century Medical Associates.
His interests in medicine include: heart disease, hypertension, obesity, mood disorders, and aging.
He and his wife Lynette have a 13 year old daughter and a 10 year old son. His hobbies include building computers, hunting, fishing, reading, and part time construction projects at home.
