Lorraine Nardi, MD
Dr. Nardi grew up in the Bronx, New York, and then attended New York University where she received a BA degree in Biology. She received her MD degree from New York Medical College and then completed Internship and Residency programs in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Medical Center in N.Y.C. She next completed a Fellowship in Nephrology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC.
She is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She is the only Board Certified specialist in Hypertension in Dutchess County.
After 2 years in private practice in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Dr. Nardi moved to Poughkeepsie and joined HealthShield in 1986. In addition to her medical practice, Dr. Nardi became Associate Regional Medical Director for CHP and then Regional Medical Director for Kaiser Permanente until it closed in December 1999. She is now the Managing Partner of New Century Medical Associates.
Dr. Nardi is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Nephrology, the International Society of Nephrology, and the American Society of Hypertension.
Dr. Nardi is married to Dr. Alan Gross and they are the parents of a daughter, Beth Anne. When on vacation, she enjoys hiking and shell collecting.
